The Perfect Poem
for you I tried to write the perfect poem
one that would really hit home
don't know what you love, don't know
what you've been dreaming of
all I could do was write, and write I did
took the colors of the rainbow, mixed
with the starry sky
sprinkled in a love song, and a bit of
magic from your eyes
so many words, so much feeling
in this special poem
but I still don't know if it hits home
my words can take your breath away
problem is, I don't know what to say
I took a cup full of sunshine
added a touch of rain
mixed in your laughter and tears
and a hug to ease the pain
for you I tried to write the perfect poem
one that would really hit home
I wrote up a masterpiece
imagined a pretty girl's smile
painted a picture with words
sculpted with poetic style
but it still didn't hit home

I couldn't write about what I can't see
or just how much you mean to me

Wrote this for Bloodskye-Demon. I wanted to write a poem for her but didn't know what to write about. I wanted to make it special but didn't know how to. It was a bit hard to make it heartfelt considering we've never met in person, but I hope Bloodskye-Demon likes it.
