I haven't seen you in quite awhile.
It's been years since I've heard your voice.




I'm not sure if you've missed me,
But I was mad when you moved away.




I've since stopped caring that you're gone,
But I'd still welcome you back with open arms ...

My friendships have changed quite a bit from the time I left high school to the time I left college. This short poem's meant to represent the ambivalence people tend to feel when they realize they've grown apart from someone they used to be friends with. I had a certain person in mind when writing this, but I kept in generic so it could relate to anyone, as well as make the reader feel dull and emotionless.
